Adjusting for climate resilience is mandatory to ensure a safe future for us all. From drought and flood management to water governance, and climate adaptation, The Ripple Effect series underscores the urgency of collaboration to ensure a thriving, biodiverse planet for the next generations.

Following the launch of ‘Adapting for Tomorrow’s Environment’ in 2020, CIWEM is partnering with Content With Purpose (CWP) to showcase the guardians of our environment and the solutions unlocking a more resilient, thriving future for all life on Earth.

Through a combination of inspiring, future-focused content, including interviews and short films, The Ripple Effect: Inspiring a Resilient Environment will champion the expertise and innovation needed to not only tackle the environmental challenges we face but secure a cleaner, more biodiverse planet. Our changing climate and a rise in extreme weather events will amplify the urgent need to collaborate at all levels of society to elevate adaptation and resilience and ensure a flourishing world for future generations.

Advancing Positive Change in the Water Sector

A sustainable water industry requires innovative collaboration, and UKWIR leads the way.

As the UK and Ireland’s collaborative research platform for water, we bring together water companies and academic experts to address the sector’s most pressing challenges. Through research-driven solutions, we are working to create a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable water industry. Our unique partnership approach ensures real-world impact, advancing sustainability and driving forward efficiency across the water sector.

For our contribution to the wider series, we focused on the role of our research in transforming network intelligence, and particularly the importance of research and innovation in driving down leakage.

The documentary features SES Water's Jeremy Heath, UKWIR's Programme Lead for leakage, who shares why the industry's collective mission to significantly cut leakage is a vital step towards achieving future water security across the UK & Ireland.
