UKWIR Annual Conference: Transforming the Water Sector through collaborative research and innovation 19 March 2020 | London | Hilton London Tower Bridge, 5 more London Riverside, Tooley St, London. SE1 2BY

NOTE: UKWIR have decided to postpone the Annual Conference due to take place on Thursday 19th March 2020. Both UKWIR and Aqua Enviro (conference manager on behalf of UKWIR) have a duty of care to all attendees, and in the light of the possible risks of the coronavirus outbreak they have decided this is a sensible precaution. It is hoped that the conference will take place in the same venue later this year. We will update you as soon as we have confirmed details of the new arrangements.

‘Innovation means creating value from new ideas and those ideas belong to everyone – whether it’s academia, the supply chain, water company employees, stakeholders and experts from other sectors. Our goal is to use those ideas to create a common platform for research and innovation in the UK and drive the changes that are needed to meet future challenges, such as population growth, climate change and resilience, through UKWIR’s Big Questions. There are also other emerging opportunities to explore including digital transformation, the social contract and sustainability. The key to achieving all our ambitious outcomes will be through the effective collaboration of everyone with a vested interest in water. Our event will be a great opportunity for senior representatives from the industry, and beyond, to come together not only to share ideas and experiences, but also to identify the part they can all play in helping answer our Big Questions..’
- Steve Kaye

This event, the first of its kind organised by UKWIR, will bring together senior representatives from water companies, regulators, the supply chain, academia, other utilities and related industries, both from the UK and abroad, to share ideas and ambitions that drive greater innovation – and which ultimately improve outcomes for customers, society and the environment.

The event will include interactive forums that explore UKWIR’s 12 Big Questions, alongside opportunities to create new, collaborative platforms for research and innovation and identify knowledge gaps and areas for improvement.

The key-note speakers for the day are Mike Elliott, Technical Director at Mercedes Formula1 team, and Heidi Mottram, CEO of Northumbrian Water.

Note: This event is being managed by Aqua Enviro on behalf of UKWIR.
