Ofwat Central Innovation Fund

Water companies in the UK and Ireland have come together, facilitated by UKWIR, in response to the Ofwat proposal for a central Innovation Fund.

The plan is to deliver a joint Water Sector Innovation Strategy involving their key stakeholders. The Strategy will identify the key challenges of the sector and provide an initial focus on key activities that will provide tangible benefits for customers and the environment.

Arup has now been appointed as a consultant partner, working with the water companies to coordinate the development of a draft strategy by June 2020.
