UKWIR are seeking a New Project Manager

UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR) was established in 1993 by the UK water

industry to facilitate and manage collaborative research on ‘one voice’ issues.

UKWIR's members are the 18 water companies in the UK and Ireland.

We are a team based in a central London office and our objective is to procure, manage and deliver a national programme of research for the UK & Irish water companies. Our research is often carried out in collaboration with government departments and the water industry’s regulators. Work is also undertaken in collaboration with research organisations in the UK and internationally.

The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver a subset of projects from our strategic research programme of relevance and value to our members. This will be achieved by working closely with UKWIR’s members, their regulators and the contractors delivering the projects.

The role requires a level of leadership and responsibility in relation to project and contract management. Also key will be the maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, managing project related finances and ensuring the effectiveness of delivery of the subset of projects in the programme.

The role will be a full-time position, mainly home based but with one day a week in London and in person attendance required at some project meetings (held mainly in London).
