Guidelines for Pre and Post Rehabilitation Assessment
Water companies undertake pre and post rehabilitation assessment (PPRA) to demonstrate the improvement to water quality following mains rehabilitation. This project was instigated to undertake an assessment of completed PPRA schemes and to develop guidelines to help companies to design their distribution system PPRA. Other objectives were to investigate the relationship between water quality and internal mains conditions (serviceability) and to identify trunk main PPRA requirements.
The report contains the findings from the assessment of 51 schemes and step- by- step guidelines for all aspects of PPRA. Some issues need to be clarified with DWI. Conclusions for the other objectives are given
